Moving with the speed of grace
Another equinox, a solstice and a new year already ushered in since I last posted. So odd— I didn’t think this would take quite so long. Being human is a complicated affair here, now, on the beautiful spinning planet earth. How to move gracefully with all of this chaos and distraction is an artform to cultivate, a kind of powerful leadership that the world needs right now.
To move with the speed of grace, one must understand:
—Purpose and profit are inextricably linked.
—In organizations today, our teams know things that we are not yet aware of.
—Never underestimate the power of 3 deep intentional breaths, bringing you home to yourself, again.
—Moving fast and breaking things is not moving with the speed of grace. That is an arrogant and overly privileged conflation of two ideas that are important in the world right now: Agility, primarily a practitioner approach, and Disruption, primarily an academic approach. Moving fast and breaking things usually means that someone else, with considerably less resources than you, is going to have to clean up after you. That is an irresponsible and arrogant way to live one’s life. Finding the elusive organizational agility is less a matter of scale and more an issue of translation.
—If you are not bewildered right now, you are not paying attention.
Wishing you a new year filled with the nectar of enough.
May joy light up your steps and peace illuminate your path as we explore the possibilities of moving with the speed of grace.
Be Well.
